EVENTS: Telsey Advisory Group Consumer Conference

Last week I had the opportunity to venture to NYC to speak on an Influencer panel at the Telsey Advisory Group (TAG) conference. TAG is one of Wall Street’s leading equity research, trading, banking, and consulting firms devoted to consumer sectors, including advertising, apparel manufacturers, children’s and teen retailers, consumer electronics retailers, cosmetics, department stores and more!

The panel's focus was on influencer marketing. Companies/brands are supplementing traditional advertising by incorporating influencers into their marketing programs.  The recent rise of hashtag-driven advertising and sponsored content marks a significant shift in how companies approach their marketing on social media.  The panel explored the change from traditional marketing to the much-hyped “influencer marketing.” Influencers give brands a relatability that traditional print and television ads do not, and they will continue to be a driving force for brands looking to reach the jaded Millennial and Gen-Z consumers in an authentic and engaging way.- (Via Nichole Saland)

I was honored to be selected as an influencer to share in on the conversation in a room full of executives and industry leaders. The panel was moderated by Kendra Bracken-Ferguson, Chief Digital Officer of BrainTrust | CAA-CBG. And my panel mates consisted of influencers: Ady (Wright) Meschke, Founder + Executive EditorVerbal Gold BlogJessica Hughes, Founder, Happily Hughes and Sara Kirchner, Social Media Director at Kenneth Cole
